"Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request."

Reading the book of Chronicles was really challenging and (Boring HONESTLY) However, the one part of it is still in my mind. A long time ago, I remember my father told me about Jabez during our family bible study time. This is a simple bold prayer (a Boo-yag type prayer), which shows Jabez' audacity of hope and faith. The interesting thing is Jabez's mother named him Jabez (sorrow maker), "because I bore him in pain". Sometimes I feel like I have this tendency to limit God's power and become doubtful with my life. But, This prayer truly shows the excellent attitude of Jabez - Just have faith in Jesus Christ, the Lord God.
